Christine Quinn Says She Knows Why Chrishell Stause Left Her Wedding Early

From Women's Health

In classic Selling Sunset fashion, there was drama at a wedding. This time, it went down at Christine Quinn’s gothic winter wonderland reception, which closes out the Netflix hit reality TV show’s third season.

While Christine was basking in newlywed bliss and soaking up the lavishness of the affair complete with snow, black and white swans, fog, a cake filled with strawberries to look like blood when sliced, and thunder and lightning, her castmate and fellow real estate agent at The Oppenheim Group Chrishell Stause was leaving.

In the season three preview that shows glimpses of the event, Chrishell says, "I don’t want to be here right now. I don't want to do this anymore," and walks out.

When Women’s Health spoke to Christine about what happened, she speculated it was all too much for Chrishell, who was in the process of separating from Justin Hartley who’d "blindsided" her by filing for divorce.

"The wedding was very emotional for [Chrishell]," Christine explains. "I know it was really hard for her to want to come to my wedding because obviously it’s a really romantic deal… So that more came from her being at such a romantic event and obviously feeling a little uncomfortable since she’s going through a breakup."

Christine had a similar experience herself, so she gets it. "I remember I went to a wedding with one of my coworkers, and I [had] just got out of a relationship. I was crying and it was really difficult for me," she says.

But despite her empathy for Chrishell, Christine says the two don’t have much of a relationship at the moment. "We don’t communicate at all," Christine tells Women's Health.

There might be a reason for that: When Christine told Page Six she’d understood that Chrishell and Justin "were having communication problems for a while" and had heard they were in therapy to work on it, Chrishell fired back on Twitter. "[Christine] has absolutely zero knowledge of the marriage we had," she wrote.

Still, Christine says she's reached out to Chrishell multiple times, but it hasn't amounted to much. "I’ve always been trying to mend our relationship, and she doesn’t really seem to want that, so I will respect that we can coexist," Christine adds. "It sucks because I’d obviously want to have more of a relationship."

Selling Sunset season three is currently streaming on Netflix.
