Windy weather will also continue in Kugluktuk today, with blizzard conditions expected until later this afternoon.

Breezy conditions are also expected for the rest of the Kitikmeot region, with significantly cooler temperatures in the -30s near Taloyoak and Kugaaruk.

Winds in the Kivalliq should ease today, with clear skies and temperatures near -25 C.

Relatively clear and calm weather will remain on Baffin Island through the weekend, with temperatures in the -20s in the south.

Yukon outlook

The slow cool down in the Yukon continues today, with temperatures remaining in the minus single digits this afternoon. Temperatures look to drop towards the -20s overnight tonight, with daily highs into the minus teens by the weekend in the south.

Further north, a similar temperature trend is expected this week, with above seasonal temperatures until the weekend. Clear weather will dominate the forecast for the territory with more high pressure in place.
