The House of Mouse certainly knows how to deliver quality content – it’s been doing it for 100 years.

This July there’s a whole range of new shows and films coming onto Disney+ for people to enjoy. From an excellent romance-thriller to a musical fantasy film, take a look below to find your next obsession.

BRATS – July 5

People of a certain age will know the Brat Pack all too well. The group of hot young actors, which included Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore, Rob Lowe, Judd Nelson and Molly Ringwald, dominated screens and magazines in the Eighties, after having starred in St. Elmo's Fire and/or The Breakfast Club. But as is usually the case, the spotlight brought as many issues as it did opportunities. In this documentary Brat Pack member Andrew McCarthy looks back at the phenomenon and the effect it had on the actors’ lives.

Match Point – July 5

Hats off to Disney+ for bringing this great romance-thriller to subscribers just in time for Wimbledon season. The film follows professional tennis player Chris (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) who marries Chloe (Emily Mortimer) and her wealthy family. But he gets himself in trouble when he has an affair with his brother-in-law's girlfriend, Nola (Scarlett Johansson).

Abbott Elementary – Season 3 – July 10

This award-winning American mockumentary series is set in an underfunded, predominantly Black school in Philadelphia and follows its teachers as they scramble to provide their kids with a proper education. There’s a reason the show has been nominated for nine Primetime Emmy awards (winning three): like all the best TV series, it manages to seamlessly explore some of the big questions America is facing at the moment – all while supplying proper belly laughs.

Mastermind: To Think Like A Killer – July 11

Psychiatric nurse, professor and researcher Ann Burgess was not only a pioneer of assessing and treating rape victims, but also worked with the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit, using her to extensive training to help officers track down serial killers. This new documentary pulls out some of her incredible investigations, in doing so telling the story of her astonishing career.

Descendants: The Rise of Red – July 12

This upcoming musical fantasy film from Advantageous director Jennifer Phang, is the fourth film in the Descendants franchise and follows Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe, the daughter of Cinderella, who travel back in time together. Their aim: to change the path so that Red’s mother doesn’t launch a coup against. But as we all know so well, meddling with time is a dangerous game. Rita Ora plays the Queen of Hearts, and the film looks like a hoot.
