Coronation Street first look as Justin's sister betrays Ryan

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has shared a first look at the moment that Justin Rutherford's sister Karen returns to the cobbles with a cunning plan in mind.

Karen arrives back in Weatherfield on the eve of Justin's trial for the acid attack – and her timing is no coincidence.

Upcoming scenes see Karen call at the pub and check on Daisy Midgeley.

As Karen previously tried to warn Daisy about how dangerous her brother could be, she has already gained the trust of the Rovers barmaid.

Karen warmly tells Daisy how sorry she is for Justin's attack and claims that she wants to see him get sent down.

Daisy is touched by Karen's show of support, but Carla Barlow and Ryan Connor are appalled when they realise who this visitor is.

Ryan feels betrayed that Daisy would even speak to someone who's so closely connected to Justin.

Raking over the past, Ryan makes things personal by bitterly reminding Daisy of how she destroyed his relationship with Alya Nazir in 2021.

Although nobody realises it, these comments are of great interest to Karen as she's secretly looking for ways to get her brother out of trouble.

The next day, Ryan prepares to leave for court – determined to have his say after Justin's attack left him with life-changing injuries.

Karen throws a spanner in the works by admitting that she passed on the details of Daisy's past manipulation to Justin's defence lawyer.

Ryan flees back to the Street Cars flat, too distressed to face the court as he now fears that Justin will get off scot free.

Carla desperately tries to call Ryan, but will he make an appearance at the trial?

Ryan Prescott, who plays Ryan, previously told us: "After everything that has happened, the court case is the final straw that breaks the camel's back. But Ryan is willing to push himself through it, until he finds out that Karen has used what he has said about Daisy against them both.

"He said what he said in spite and due to having a little bit of animosity towards Daisy. Obviously, Karen is there to witness this and so now, not only is Ryan feeling scared and out of control, he now feels like a fool."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
