Coronation Street's Amy Barlow makes a tough decision next week, as she tells her loved ones that it's time to back down from a legal fight with Aaron Sandford.

Amy shares her choice with her family after becoming concerned about the huge costs involved in challenging Aaron's lawsuit.

The Weatherfield teenager recently wrote a blog post about Aaron raping her. Although Amy later took the message down following legal threats from Aaron, she refused to publish a retraction and was told to expect a fight in court.

Next week, Amy suggests that she should use her inheritance from her late grandmother Deirdre to fund the legal fees. Her dad Steve refuses to let her, determined that he and Tracy can find the money themselves.

Amy feels worse when she learns that Steve and Tracy intend to sell the flower shop flat, which would mean Paul Foreman, Billy Mayhew and Summer Spellman all losing their home.

With Tracy intending to sell the shop itself, Mary Taylor would also lose her job.
