Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Stephen Reid's plan to undermine Carla Barlow's authority at Underworld will spectacularly backfire in upcoming scenes.

The Coronation Street killer has been spiking his boss's drinks with LSD to get her out of the way after she belittled him in front of an old business contact.

On top of the wooziness caused by the drug, Stephen has messed up Carla's diary, cancelling an important meeting and ultimately contributing to her crashing the factory's van into Paul.

In a new episode, however, Stephen will get a taste of his own medicine when he accidentally mixes up the drinks, ending up sipping some spiked tea.

After Carla gets back to work following the crash, Stephen has no intention of letting go of his scheme to get rid of her.

Once again, he laces her tea with LSD... but realises he has handed her the wrong mug when Carla complains about him using full-fat milk.

This means he or Sarah must've taken the spiked drink right before a big presentation.

On the stage, Stephen's vision starts to blur as he's sweating profusely, confirming he drank the laced tea.

As he rambles during his speech, taking a trip down memory lane, will the cobbles' down-on-his-luck killer unmask himself?

As fans know, Stephen is responsible for killing Leo Thompkins and Leo's father Teddy. The latter came to Weatherfield to look for his son after the disgraced businessman made it seem like Leo had moved to Canada.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
