Cyclist killed in Macon after fall from embankment, sheriff’s office says
A cyclist was found dead around 3 p.m. Thursday at a Pio Nono Circle residence, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities believed the man, who has not been identified, died after falling from an embankment behind the house.
The Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center received a call that a man was found unresponsive near a bicycle, the release said.
Coroner Leon Jones said the man died at the scene.
The incident is under investigation, but foul play is not suspected.
