Dakota Johnson Says She's 'So Open' to Becoming a Mom: 'If I'm Meant to Be a Mother, Bring It On'
The actress is stepmom to partner Chris Martin's kids Apple and Moses, whom he shares with ex Gwyneth Paltrow
Dakota Johnson isn't ruling out becoming a mom.
In an interview with Bustle, the How to Be Single actress, 34, was asked to share her thoughts on potentially becoming a mother. The star has been in a relationship with Coldplay singer Chris Martin since 2017, who shares his daughter Apple and son Moses with ex Gwyneth Paltrow, 51.
"I'm so open to that," Johnson says of motherhood. "I've gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything that life has to offer. And especially being a woman, I'm like, 'What a magical f------ thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience."
"If that's meant to happen to me, I'm totally down for it," Johnson continues, later adding, "And then I'm like, 'We're not here for very long, so if I'm meant to be a mother, bring it on.'"

Elsewhere in the interview, Johnson commented on being a stepmom to Martin and Paltrow's teenagers. "I love those kids like my life depends on it," Johnson told the outlet. "With all my heart."
Johnson told Marie Claire in their March 2016 issue that she liked the idea of settling down and starting a family.
“The idea of being at home and picking up kids from school and cooking dinner and then the husband comes home – there’s something that seems really nice to me ’cause I never had that growing up,” she revealed.
Johnson grew up in her household as the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, the former stepdaughter of Antonio Banderas and the granddaughter of Tippi Hedren.
So to her, the idea of starting a traditional family “seems so enticing,” Johnson said.
At the time, Johnson thought she might be able to have her cake and eat it too. “In my mind, I’m like, ‘Well, I’ll just play that in a movie and go about my own life,’ bizarre as it is,” she explained.
