Darren Criss Has the Internet in a Frenzy About His Newborn Son's Unusual Name — Here's Why

The 'Glee' alum welcomed his second baby with wife Mia last week, sharing that the couple chose a rather unique name for their little one

Yes, Darren Criss named his son Brother — and the Internet has a lot to say about it.

Last week, the Glee alum shared that he welcomed his second baby with wife Mia, announcing his baby son's name in tandem with photos of the little one. The adorable picture shows the couple's newest addition, wearing a pair of huge sunglasses.

"M & D just delivered their follow-up single. ⭐️ Brother László Criss ⭐️ 6/3/24 🎶 Out now. 🎶 ," Criss initially wrote in his caption.

The comments quickly filled with fans questioning if Criss and his wife actually named their son Brother, or if it was a typo on the actor's part.

"Is his first name Brother??" one person asked.

"Did you name your kids after the blues brothers just in a super literal way," another questioned.

Criss later amended his caption, adding, "… and yes his first name is Brother 💛."

"If you need to say 'yes his name really is…', chances are you picked a bad name," one user wrote, while another added, "Some people need to remember (or outright realise) their babies are actual human beings they are choosing to name 🤦🏻‍♀️😬."

In addition to son Brother László, Criss and his wife are parents to daughter Bluesy Belle, 2.

In December, the singer and actor shared that he and Mia were expecting another baby together, announcing the news on his Instagram account.

Criss posted an edited photo of his face, his wife's, and his daughter Bluesy Belle's face on top of the Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again promotional movie poster. Along with the edited movie poster, the Instagram photo included two positive pregnancy tests confirming the couple’s news.

“And COMING SOON…let’s hope the sequel is better than the photoshop.✌️🤪 ‼️," Criss wrote in the caption.
