Davante Adams leaves note for rookie Raiders teammate after Fresno State beats Purdue
It seems there was a friendly jersey wager between Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams and rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell.
It all stems from Fresno State and Purdue playing in the season opener at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana on Sept 2.
Adams’ Fresno State Bulldogs got the upper hand on the Boilermakers, winning 39-35.
So naturally for the NFL teammates, it was an “if-my-team-wins, you-have-to-wear-my-college-jersey” wager.
O’Connell was the Raiders’ fourth-round NFL draft pick out of Purdue.
True to form, the former Fresno State star walked up to O’Connell’s locker at the Raiders’ facility in Henderson, Nev. and wrote to O’Connell “You know what to do.”
Nothing like a friendly wager to the start of the college football and NFL season.
Mikey Keene threw for 366 yards and four touchdowns against one interception and wide receiver Erik Brooks had 170 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs.
