Who does former NFL great think is a better defender than the Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons?

Who’s the NFL’s best defensive player? There was a difference of opinion on the NFL Network’s ‘NFL GameDay Morning’ show on Sunday.

Former NFL defensive tackle Gerald McCoy debated Dallas Cowboys great Michael Irvin and host Kyle Brandt on Sunday.

McCoy said nobody is better than Pittsburgh Steelers‘ T.J. Watt.

“That powerhouse in Pittsburgh,” said McCoy. “Nine tackles, three TFLS (tackles for loss), four sacks, two forced fumbles, two passes defended, two fumble recoveries and a touchdown. All he is missing is an interception.”

“Listen, go look at the numbers of when he is on the field versus when he is off the field,” McCoy said. “He is the best defender in football.”

Irvin, the former Dallas Cowboys great, defended Dallas’ Micah Parsons quickly. Of course.

But then, Brandt stepped in and agreed with Irvin.

“I think not only is he the best defensive player in the league, but for two weeks he’s the best player at any position in the league,” Brandt said.

“Put him on offense, he is the best player in the league,” Brandt said.

Irvin said.:

“That dude is a phenomenal, phenomenal talent,” Irvin said. “We (Dallas) got the baddest (defender).”

The Cowboys play the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
