Drew Barrymore rushes off talk show stage, returns dressed as guest Julia Fox: 'Does she always do this?'

Drew Barrymore is officially in her cosplay era.

The daytime talk-show host slowly transformed into her guest Julia Fox over the course of Wednesday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, donning her signature dramatic smokey eye makeup and then sprinting off set only to return in her best Fox-inspired look.

Barrymore explained her vision at the top of the episode. "I would love to be like you," she told Fox. "Could you make me into you?"

Fox, who was channeling her own "Drewlia" energy with her Barrymore-inspired gray suit, was totally down. The Uncut Gems actress helped guide Barrymore on her fashion journey by applying her eyeliner and eyeshadow during the interview as the pair discussed Fox's recently-released memoir, Down the Drain, and her infamous relationship with Kanye West.

After Fox had smudged Barrymore's eyeliner to perfection, the host asked, "Wait, I was thinking, I wanted to ask you if you'd ever thought about doing a fashion show? Because, I'm sorry…"

"I'm doing one," Fox replied.

As she began to discuss the event, a shocked Barrymore threw herself back on the couch before suddenly launching off it.

"Wait!" she interjected. "Hold on." She then sprinted to the back of the stage before exiting through a side door.

"Wait, where is she going?" a surprised Fox asked the crowd as the host disappeared backstage. "Is this normal? Does she always do this?"

The episode then cut to a commercial break, but when it returned Barrymore stepped back onto the stage runway-ready, sporting a cut-out jean top, two-tone skirt, and thigh-high boots. She completed the look with a ton of accessories, including a massive chain necklace, huge clear earrings, a spiked belt, and green patterned tights.

Fox fully approved, placing her hands to her face as she screamed, "Oh my god!" She then pulled Barrymore into a hug. "Wow! This is amazing. You look amazing. I love you!"

If Barrymore wasn't starring in Fox's fashion show before this, she is certainly a top contender now.
