Earthquake reported in upstate SC county. Here’s what we know

An earthquake was reported early Tuesday morning in York County near Rock Hill, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 2.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded just after 4:00 a.m, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake happened about 1.7 miles underground., according to USGS.

No injuries or damage have been reported.

While earthquakes under a 2.5 magnitude often go unnoticed, anyone who felt shaking or heard rumbling can report it to the USGS.
