EastEnders to air worrying theft drama for Tommy Moon

EastEnders spoilers follow.

Tommy Moon will be getting himself into trouble in EastEnders next week, as the teenager is caught stealing.

Tommy has been struggling since his mum Kat Slater and stepdad Phil Mitchell split up earlier this year. After forming a close bond with Phil, Tommy was heartbroken when his mum's new marriage fell apart.

Since then, Tommy has been channeling his energy into boxing and was disappointed when he lost his boxing match this week. He later revealed he was glad Phil didn't attend the match to see him lose.

In scenes that will air next week, Tommy confides in his parents about his feelings. He tells Kat and his dad Alfie that Phil doesn't seem interested in him anymore. Kat and Alfie are upset to find out how hurt their son is feeling.

Later in the week, Tommy begins to act out and is caught on camera shoplifting at the Minute Mart. A mortified Kat talks to Jean who suggests a job will keep Tommy out of any more trouble.

But will a job be enough to distract Tommy from the pain of losing Phil?

Meanwhile, Tommy isn't the only troubled teen on the Square, as recent weeks have seen Denzel Danes and Nugget Gulati also making bad decisions.

Eager to meet his fitness and body image goals, Denzel secretly began taking steroids, which he had ordered online. Trying to keep up with Denzel, Nugget also started taking the drugs, but was later found unconscious during the boxing matches.

After being hospitalised, Nugget admitted what had happened, but tried to protect his friend. His efforts were short-lived as Denzel confessed everything to Nugget's parents, who then told the police.

What will be the consequences of Denzel's actions?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
