EastEnders confirms Suki's upsetting choice over Eve and Nish

EastEnders spoilers follow.

Suki Kaur Panesar has once again split up with Eve Unwin in upsetting EastEnders scenes.

In the wake of her mysterious fall down the stairs last week, Suki has seen her world crumble after son Vinny discovered she was having an affair with Eve.

Suki was desperate to keep husband Nish from finding out the truth, as he'd just gotten out of jail for killing someone he'd wrongly suspected was having an affair with his wife.

In order to keep her son quiet, Suki agreed to give a statement to police that would absolve Nish for his recent arrest — leading police to release him from custody for the time being.

Even after Eve begged Vinny not to ruin his mum's life and insisted he had the choice to stop the chaos that would unfold, he issued Suki an ultimatum that she needed to fully commit herself to Nish or he'd reveal the truth.

"If you choose Eve over us, your family, then I'll never be able to forgive you again," he warned.

Suki felt she had no choice but to give in to her son's blackmail, including cutting things off with Eve for both of their safety. Eve was crushed to be separated from her lover again, while Suki was forced to once more live a lie by playing housewife to the scheming Nish.

There is some hope of Nish being taken out of the picture permanently as the man who ends up dead in the Christmas flashforward, with Navin Chowdhry recently tackling the speculation.

"I am aware that Nish is the number one contender to die at Christmas," he told The Mirror. "I think the main clue is to follow the cufflinks. There's some stuff we filmed recently about the cufflinks so look out for that and follow the cufflinks."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
