EastEnders has revealed details on Ash Panesar's exit storyline.

We revealed last month how Gurlaine Kaur Garcha would be leaving the soap after three years.

Gurlaine's character Ash has been written out of the BBC One soap and will make her final appearance in upcoming episodes.

Another big week for the Panesar family will begin with Suki trying to get more involved with their business in Leeds.

Ash later lets Nish know that she's been re-offered a job in Canada, leaving him fearing he's about to lose her.

Unhappy about this, Nish enlists Suki to dissuade their daughter from accepting the job.

Suki sees the situation differently, and wants her daughter to spread her wings. She uses reverse psychology to manipulate Ash into accepting the job by suggesting that she isn't capable.

When Ash predictably accepts the job to prove a point to her mum, Suki tells Nish there was nothing she could do about it.

They head to The Vic to reluctantly celebrate Ash leaving, but Nish soon becomes enraged when he realises Suki's deceit and issues her with a sinister threat back at No.41.

As Ash prepares to leave, she has a heart to heart with Eve – who convinces her to have an honest conversation with Suki before she goes.

Ash also speaks to Nish, wanting him to give Suki more responsibility with the family businesses, but will he agree?

Gurlaine initially sparked speculation over her future on EastEnders by posting new casting headshots on her Instagram page.

She also confirmed that she'd signed up with new representatives, telling fans: "Excited for what's to come."

An EastEnders spokesperson later confirmed to us: "We can confirm that Gurlaine will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish her all of the best for the future."

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, with first look episodes dropping at 6am.
