EastEnders' Phil Mitchell to confront George over Rose

EastEnders' Phil Mitchell will confront George Knight over his secret next week.
The BBC One soap will air an extended episode on Thursday, June 22 focusing solely on George's storyline, where the truth about his missing wife Rose will be revealed.
Prior to that, George faces a tough week as Linda's suspicions over him lead her to Phil.
As Elaine plans a 'Battle of the Dads' karaoke competition, Linda speaks to Phil about Rose's disappearance.
After some persuasion, Phil agrees to find out what he can, wanting to ensure he's not going into business with someone he can't trust.
Phil then convinces reluctant Callum to search the police database to put Linda's mind at rest.
Callum's investigations come to nothing as George has a relatively clean record, but when he looks up Rose, all access is denied.
When Linda hears about this, she's left convinced this proves that George is dodgy.
Determined to get to the bottom of what's going on, Phil invites George to spar at the Boxing Den and asks him directly about Rose.
George assures Phil that there's nothing to tell and insists Linda's got him wrong.
Unconvinced, Phil stalls signing the deal with George and ropes Richie in to dig up dirt on Rose.
Phil heads to The Vic, on the pretence that they will complete the contracts, and accuses George of not being straight with him. What will George say?
Discussing character's reaction to Phil's accusation, Colin Salmon – who plays George – says: "George is affronted and angry. It's about respect, and George finds it disrespectful, and that makes him cross.
"He's like, 'Hang on a minute, you don't know the story, so you've jumped to the wrong conclusion.' But again, George does understand how Phil got to that conclusion, and Linda isn't helping.
"George has been living under a cloud. Some people think he killed Rose, so it's been nine years of mystery and heartache on top of suspicion and misunderstanding.
"It's hard if you are a member of a family and your spouse has gone missing, everyone thinks they know what's going on."
