EastEnders' Stacey Slater makes big confession to Jack

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' Stacey Slater makes a big blunder with Jack in the aftermath of Nish's accusation.

The show's latest episode, which is already available to watch on BBC iPlayer ahead of Friday, explored the aftermath of Nish's big revenge plan.

Nish reported Stacey to the police for 'attacking' him at Christmas, wanting payback after his plan for Kat Mitchell drastically backfired.

Nish looked on smugly as Stacey was hauled to the police station, leaving Kat and Suki determined to get justice.

Kat and Suki accosted Nish in the market, where he retaliated by loudly accusing Stacey of being the culprit who put him in a coma.

At the police station, Stacey called on Jack for help, while Kathy, Suki, Linda and Johnny all worried about what she might be saying.

Determined to get to the bottom of it all, Jack went to confront Nish himself, but Nish remained firm that if he went down then he was taking all of the women with him.

Thankfully, Stacey was later released when Jack was able to back up her claims that Nish was simply retaliating due to his break-up with Kat.

Stacey was relieved she was able to go home but slipped up by saying to Jack that she was glad that the other women 'didn't have to come down and remember their stories' as well.

Suspicious about what she meant by this, Jack tried to quiz Stacey on it later on but she was dismissive.

Jack eventually bit the bullet and asked Stacey outright if she attacked Nish, but she continued to deny it.

As tempers got flared, Jack was furious when he discovered Stacey was the one who called the mental health services about Denise, and accused her of trying to get Denise out of the way so they could continue their affair.

When Stacey insisted it wasn't their affair that put Denise in hospital, she inadvertently revealed that Denise was the one who attacked Nish.

Although she quickly tried to backtrack, it was too late as Jack had already started to piece the situation together.

The closing moments of the episode saw Stacey ask Jack what he was going to do with the information, but what will he decide?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
