EastEnders' Stacey Slater seeks help over Eve disappearance

EastEnders spoilers follow.

Stacey Slater has sought help to find best mate Eve Unwin in EastEnders.

Eve was recently forced to flee the Square after Nish Panesar discovered she'd been having an affair with his wife Suki Kaur Panesar.

Nish initially asked his son Ravi Gulati to kill Eve, though Ravi couldn't go through with it and warned Eve to leave without ever contacting anyone in Walford again.

In Friday's (December 8) episode, Stacey started to worry that something awful may have befallen Eve since she hadn't texted as usual to check on the kids.

"I've just got a funny feeling something's wrong," Stacey told mum Jean Slater.

When Jean questioned whether Eve may have been trafficked, Stacey realised she needed answers and asked whether Suki had received any messages.

Stacey surprised Suki by questioning whether Nish may have discovered her affair and taken out some kind of revenge on Eve.

"If he knew anything, I wouldn't be standing here," Suki ominously answered.

With no leads on what may have happened, Stacey turned to Walford detective Jack Branning for some help in finding out where Eve might be.

"Something just ain't sitting right," Stacey explained. "And if I go down to the station, they ain't gonna take me seriously."

The pair have grown close recently, so Jack promised he'd see what he could find out. Before Stacey left, the two shared a longing glance as Jack gently patted her on the shoulder.

The soap has previously confirmed that there will be an update or sorts next week when Stacey receives a suspicious delivery, supposedly from Eve.

This will lead to Suki planning to take revenge on Nish when she realises that her husband actually must know about her affair after all. Will Suki and Stacey be able to find Eve?
