Easter egg hunts to roll out across Modesto-area communities. Here’s where and when

Get your wee hunters and gatherers armed with their baskets to track down those springtime treasures, Easter eggs.

Several Modesto region communities and organizations are holding Easter egg hunts or other Easter fun from March 22-31.

CERES EGGSTRAVAGANZA – March 22: The Ceres Recreation Department hosts a family event with arts, crafts, pictures with the Easter Bunny, goody-bag giveaways and more. Food and snacks will be available for purchase. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Ceres Community Center, 2701 Fourth St. 209-538-5628.

MODESTO RESERVOIR EGG HUNT – March 23: The Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation Department hosts egg hunts at the reservoir. Other activities include face painting, train rides, obstacle courses, crafts and more. Parks Bunny available for photo opportunities. Food vendors also will be on hand. Activities 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Hunts are from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., based on age. Each hunt will have special eggs containing tickets with a chance to win a bike or a basket filled with prizes. RIVERBANK EGGSTRAVAGANZA – March 23: Riverbank will hold an Easter Eggstravaganza for the community. There will be three egg hunting sessions for youth based on age beginning at 10 a.m. Participants can bring their own baskets or purchase a basket at the event. COLUMBIA’S VICTORIAN EASTER CELEBRATION – March 31: Dress up in Easter finery to be part of a Victorian-era parade at Columbia State Historic Park.
