The music icon, 76, has listed his 13,332-square-foot, two-story condo he purchased more than 20 years ago, asking $5 million. The listing is currently held by Chase Mizell of Sotheby’s Realty.

The home was featured alongside John's English country estate in a 1993 issue of Architectural Digest. “I have a love affair with the States,” he told the magazine, “I like that Southern hospitality. Everyone is incredibly courteous and friendly."

The singer reportedly took his designers on a shopping spree in New York City to outfit the duplex, which was 6,000 square feet at the time, and bought most of the furnishings in a day.

Back in Atlanta, they used a paint technique to make the walls nearly reflective and added"hundreds of lights, yards of mirrors" and silver leaf throughout to create a reflective effect. “We wanted entering the apartment to be like stepping into a pool of light,” designer Fred Dilger to the outlet says.

Today, much of that feeling is intact in the soaring space.

The gallery hall can be reserved for an office space or art studio, and the living room has ample room to host a large gathering.

John's primary suite features expansive windows as well as a spa-inspired bathroom, a seating area, and massive closets. There is also an in-home fitness center, a spa room, and three guest suites.

In September 2022, John accepted the National Humanities Medal from President Joe Biden, for the achievements of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. At the time, PEOPLE reported that John thanked the president, reminiscing on when he created the foundation in his Atlanta home many years prior.

“Since I founded the Foundation at my kitchen table in Atlanta 30 years ago, I made a commitment not to leave anyone behind and will continue on this mission,” John stated.

“It’s been my lifeblood to play for you guys and you’ve been absolutely magnificent – thank you," John told the audience, according to The Independent. "I will never forget you guys. I’ve played so many concerts, how could I forget? You’re in my head, and my heart and my soul and I thank you so much.”
