Emma Stone Pairs Mint-Colored Peplum Gown With a Massive Diamond Necklace at the 2024 Oscars
The star is up for best actress for her performance in the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film at the ceremony
Emma Stone is going out with a blingy bang.
The actress, 35, has worn an array of unique looks throughout the 2024 awards season, and her Oscars moment was her most glamorous yet.
The best actress nominee for her role as Bella Baxter in Poor Things, arrived at the 96th Academy Awards — where the film is also up for best picture — on Sunday in a custom mint-colored Louis Vuitton strapless gown featuring an architectural peplum skirt.
"I don’t even know how to explain it," she told Laverne Cox during the E! red carpet pre-show of the silk jacquard gown. "They said that this fabric is shells."
Her stylist Petra Flannery added a 30-carat yellow diamond necklace from Louis Vuitton High Jewelry collection.
Her chic hairstyle was inspired by the "classic architecture" of Stone's Louis Vuitton dress "with a modern touch," according to her stylist Mara Roszak who used RŌZ Haircare products and ghd Styling Tools to create the look.
Stone, who won best actress in 2017 for her La La Land performance, is up against Annette Bening for Nyad, Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon, Sandra Hüller for Anatomy of a Fall and Carey Mulligan for Maestro in the category.
The Poor Things star has already taken home a Golden Globe, a Critics’ Choice Award and a BAFTA for her role in the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film, and at each show she has delivered a major fashion moment.
At the 2024 SAG Awards last month, Stone turned heads in a custom Louis Vuitton slip gown. The backless dress, which featured hints of lavender and a blue ombré hem, was embroidered with sequins, pearls and crystals in a feather-like pattern.
Stone’s hair stylist, Mara Roszak, topped off the elegant look with a polished updo, which showed off her sparkling drop earrings, also by Louis Vuitton.

At the 2024 Golden Globes, she wore a similarly shimmery gown with floral details from Louis Vuitton. For her Critics’ Choice Award ‘fit, she chose a sleek black pleated Louis Vuitton gown with a scalloped, one-shoulder neckline.
She went all-out at the BAFTAs, opting for another custom Louis Vuitton design — this time channeling her Poor Things character — in the asymmetrical, puff-sleeve gown.
The Oscar winner paired the peach one-shoulder dress with coordinating eye makeup and a sleek updo.
Other noteworthy looks include the plunging woven pink dress she wore from Julien MacDonald's spring 2003 couture collection to the Directors Guild Awards and a chic strapless dress by The Row at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
The 96th Oscars will air live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre on Sunday, March 10, at 7 p.m. ET.
