Emmerdale star Kevin Mathurin reacts to online trolling
Emmerdale actor Kevin Mathurin has posted a series of tweets in reaction to receiving online trolling.
The star, who has been a staple of the ITV soap since 2020 as Charles Anderson, suggested he has been cruelly targeted by "negative comments" on social media.
Taking to Twitter yesterday (July 13), Kevin began: "Good morning. I was going to start this tweet with a rant. But that's not where I want my headspace to be today.

"I want to have a great day at work with great people. I hope you get to do the same, too. Take care of yourselves and each other."
The following day, he added in a separate post: "You know that 1% percent of you that pluck up the courage, warm up your thumbs to type negative comments when someone expresses a little bit of joy...I hope you feel better about your life soon. Or better yet, don't @ me..".
The actor has since received a lot of support from fans in response, one writing: "I hope you are feeling better Kevin, have a good day with your lovely Emmerdale family".
Another added: "Hollow hearts quick thumbs, some are rife for it. Rotters. It’s always them not you."

Meanwhile, earlier this week Kevin paid tribute to co-star Karene Peter after her exit as his on-screen daughter Naomi Walters.
"So Naomi left the village for Ibiza last week. Sadly, for us as friends and a team, we dealt with the goodbyes months ago. I had to hold it down for no spoilers. But it wouldn't feel right to go on without acknowledging how much you are missed right now," he said.
The star added: "You are a beautiful human being who knows her path. I really admire that. Stay on it. You’re definitely heading in the right direction. PEACE MI DAWTA!"
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
