Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale fans will see tensions over Chloe Harris turn violent next week as Matty Barton and Mackenzie Boyd clash bitterly.
Mack is desperate for Chloe to return, as she left the Dales with their baby son Reuben. Matty has found himself reluctantly siding with his fiancée Amy Wyatt – Chloe's sister – who's helping her family member to stay away.
Next week's episodes see the drama come to a head when Matty and Amy head off to spend the day with Chloe and Reuben.
Mack and his partner Charity Dingle follow the pair, as Matty has accidentally let slip about their plans for the day. This all leads to a huge showdown on a country road.
Show bosses have revealed that Mack steals Amy's phone and tries to impersonate her, hoping to lure Chloe into a meeting.
Chloe figures out the trap in advance and taunts Mack over text, warning that he'll never see Reuben again.
Amy fears the worst after Mack's bungled intervention, accusing him of isolating Chloe even further when she's at her most vulnerable.
She's also furious with Matty for letting Mack know that they were intending to meet up with Chloe.
Fearing the worst, Matty accuses Mack of destroying his relationship with Amy.
Making no apologies for his antics, Mack gives a sarcastic response. Matty punches Mack, while Amy warns Mack that she hopes he'll never see Reuben again.
Later, Amy turns her frustrations back in Matty's direction, claiming that he's responsible for Chloe being isolated, alone and on the run.
Matty heads off in defeat, believing his relationship with Amy to be over. Can they ever make amends?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
