Fame made me more self-aware, says Frankie Bridge
Frankie Bridge thinks she's been more self-conscious because of her fame and success.
The 35-year-old beauty struggled with her body image during her younger years, after she shot to stardom as part of The Saturdays.
Frankie told New! magazine: "I think it's something that's always going to be in the back of my mind. I've always been that way inclined.
"I think with especially with what I do as a job, you are more self-aware. But I am genuinely better with it now.
"Looking after myself is not just about working out or eating right. It's making sure I'm ticking off all the boxes that bring me joy throughout the day.
"I think that for people with a lot of self-image issues, some of that comes down to control and feeling like you've got all your ducks in a row. It's not always just about going to the gym."
Frankie has been open and honest about her mental health struggles over recent years.
But she's now developed a better understanding of her troubles.
She said: "When you understand that it's a medical thing, it makes you feel like you're not just crazy."
Frankie previously entered a specialist mental health hospital after realising that she "couldn't cope with everyday life".
The brunette beauty - who is married to former soccer star Wayne Bridge - told BBC Radio 1: "I'd reached a point where I couldn't cope with everyday life.
"I was constantly crying and telling my partner [footballer Wayne Bridge] that I didn't really want to be here anymore."
Frankie now feels "proud" to have emerged from her mental health struggles.
She said: "I still suffer with depression and anxiety but I just know how to deal with it better now."
