Fans were mesmerized by Andy Reid’s frozen mustache in Chiefs-Dolphins game
Years from now the grandkids won’t believe it.
“Tell us again, grandpa, how cold was it at that Chiefs playoff game?” they’ll ask.
“It was so cold that night at Arrowhead Stadium,” will come the response from grandpa (or grandma), “that coach Andy Reid’s mustache had icicles on it.”
Eyes will roll, but that’s actually what happened during Saturday’s AFC Wild Card game against the Miami Dolphins at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Yeah, that’s how cold it was Saturday night.
Reid and his frozen facial hair were shown on television frequently, and NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico noted the frozen conditions were tough on “exposed extremities and mustaches.”
Early in the third quarter, sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung got the answer to the question fans had.
“Yes,” Hartung reported after talking with Reid, “he does know that his mustache has frozen.”
Fans were mesmerized by the sight of Reid’s frozen mustache.
