THE EXHIBITION BLURRING THE LINES BETWEEN ART AND FASHION
Head to King’s Road for a heavenly immersion in some of the most iconic fashion images of all time. The 100-strong Beyond Fashion exhibition features jaw-droppers from Victoria Beckham (dumped in a giant Marc Jacobs bag) shot by Juergen Teller to Miles Aldridge’s Noughties works of hyper-colour pop art (left). Alongside this will sit a reflection of Nick Knight’s contribution to moving image in fashion with a visual interpretation of Jean Paul Gaultier’s perfumes. Curated by Nathalie Herschdorfer, it seeks to place fashion photography as an art form far beyond its commercial roots. She says: ‘It is no longer regarded as a frivolous medium; it is elevated to the status of an art form, capturing the sustained attention of museums and galleries, auction houses and publishers alike. It is the art world’s rising star.’

THE CSM GRADUATES TO KNOW
Harry Lambert has anointed the latest rising duo hot from the CSM canteen: meet Matt Empringham (@mattempringham) and Freddy Coomes (@freddycoomes), both 23, who have their Central Saint Martins Graduate Show this month. Lambert, mastermind of Harry Styles’ look, has used their work on both Emma Corrin (in a fabulous ES shoot last year) and Sienna Miller in New York for Dame Anna Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner in the duo’s ‘pull dress’. ‘We’ve worked on this style (where we pull fabric through a ring) for a while and have reworked it for our BA collection with flocked petals and flowers,’ says Coomes. ‘The show is a personal perspective on English and British clothes we wear and want to wear.’ We’re keeping a close eye on this pair.
