Southwest Calgary ring road reopens after fatal collision caused earlier closure

Roads are reopened between Tsuut'ina Parkway and Anderson Road S.W. in Calgary after a closure on Tuesday afternoon due to a single-vehicle collision that left one person dead.

At approximately 1:10 p.m., EMS responded to a call regarding a single-vehicle collision on Stoney Trail at 90th Avenue S.W. One person died at the scene, according to police, though no further information about the victim is currently known.

Roads surrounding the accident were blocked for several hours Tuesday afternoon. As of about 8 p.m., all lanes on Tsuut'ina Trail between Tsuut'ina Parkway and Anderson Road reopened to traffic.
