2 Dead, 14 Injured in New York’s Rochester Mass Shooting
Two people were killed and 14 others were injured in an incident of mass shooting in New York’s Rochester at a backyard party on Friday, 18 September, reported ABC News quoting authorities.
The shooting reportedly happened on Pennsylvania Avenue where several rounds were fired. The police has not released the names of the victims but has said that two deceased were between 18 and 22 years.
During a press conference, Rochester interim Police Chief Mark Simmons called it “a tragedy of epic proportion” adding that “16 victims is unheard of,” reported ABC News.
He said that the police saw 100 people running to and from the location when they arrived at the scene. The police have not yet identified a suspect and the officer said that the police is interviewing witnesses to gather more information about the incident.
