Fire crews tackle blaze at scrap metal yard
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a scrap metal yard in Birmingham.
West Midlands Fire Service said it was called out shortly before 05:00 BST to a fire on Aston Church Road in the Nechells area.
"We are working hard with on-site staff, using heavy plant, to extinguish 150 tonnes of waste material," a spokesperson for the fire service said.
People have been asked to avoid the area.
