Fire officials investigating after ATV fire outside Iqaluit hotel

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire outside the Capital Suites hotel in Iqaluit Sunday night.

"Crews responded for a motor vehicle fire. We had an ATV near the building that was fully engulfed when I arrived," said Deputy Fire Chief George Seigler.

Crews were called at around 7:30 p.m. Seigler says there was a lot of black smoke at the scene.

A hotel window broke from the heat of the fire and there is minor smoke damage to one of the hotel's units.

There were no injuries, but the four-wheeler is a writeoff.
