A former baseball and hockey coach in the West Island is accused of sexually assaulting one of his players, and Montreal police say there could be more victims.

Robert Litvack, 41, appeared in court last month and was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and inciting sexual touching.

The 41-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted a player to whom he had been giving private lessons.

Litvack worked as a coach and an administrator for the Lac-Saint-Louis baseball league from 2008 up until this year, where he had players who were between the ages of 13 and 21.

He also spent about a decade working as a coach and bench staff member for the minor hockey association in Dollard-des-Ormeaux until 2017.

Litvack's charges are related to incidents that allegedly took place between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, the SPVM said in a statement Wednesday.

He is described as a white man with hazel eyes and short brown hair. He is about five feet and 10 inches tall and weighs about 205 pounds.

The SPVM is asking anyone who believes they are one of Litvack's victims to go to their local police station or contact investigators at 514-280-8502.

Other people who wish to come forward with information can provide anonymous tips by calling 514-393-1133 or by going online.

In a statement, the Lac-Saint-Louis division of Baseball Quebec said it cut ties with Litvack as soon as it was made aware of the allegations against him.

It also said it had conducted a background check on the coach prior to hiring him, and no prior convictions were found.
