FOX News to film at a Columbus area restaurant this week. What to know about getting in

FOX News has confirmed it will film a segment at a local Columbus restaurant Thursday.

FOX News said “FOX & Friends” will film a segment called “Breakfast with Friends” on Thursday from Ruth Ann’s Restaurant in downtown Columbus.

A press release from FOX News said, “FOX & Friends co-host Lawrence Jones will speak to diner patrons live from the restaurant to discuss the first presidential debate that will take place that evening, the critical issues shaping voters’ decisions in this year’s election and news of the day.”

FOX & Friends airs weekdays on FOX News from 6 to 9 a.m.

The restaurant made a meatloaf in the namesake of former President Donald Trump, called the “Trumploaf.” The restaurant previously said the recipe was used by Trump’s mother.

Mary Heisey, owner of Ruth Ann’s Restaurant, said it’s exciting to have the show coming to the restaurant.

“I’m flattered that different people in the community let them know about us, because they obviously had options,” Heisey said.

Those wanting to eat at the restaurant during the event will have to make a reservation. The restaurant won’t be accepting walk-in patrons Thursday, according to Heisey.
