Funnel Cloud Hovers Over Windmill Farm

A dark funnel cloud was seen forming in the sky on the north of Elk City, Oklahoma, on March 24, as the National Weather Service warned of severe thunderstorms in the area.

James G. LaDue captured this video of a “well developed funnel” as he was driving besides the Elk City Wind farm.

“The funnel is the visual part of a vortex that is likely in contact with the ground,” LaDue told Storyful. “However, we could not confirm that the vortex was of tornado strength. The parent storm was a small supercell.” Credit: James G. LaDue via Storyful
