Game of Thrones EPs’ 3 Body Problem Gets New Premiere Date at Netflix — Watch a Sneak Peek
Netflix is going to start solving the 3 Body Problem a little later than planned.
The series based on Cixin Liu’s sci-fi novels will be released on Thursday, March 21, 2024, the streamer announced Friday. The date is a few months later than expected; in June, Netflix said that 3 Body Problem would premiere in January 2024.

The series, from Game of Thrones executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and The Terror: Infamy‘s Alexander Woo, will chronicle how, per the official logline, “a young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes, five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.”
Liu’s book tells the story of a mysterious new video game that quickly gains a cult following. In a new sneak peek clip also released Friday, Jess Hong (New Zealand’s The Brokenwood Mysteries) and Thrones alum John Bradley discuss the game and its peculiar properties. Then Bradley’s character dons a sleek, silver headset and is overcome with wonder… until he’s abruptly, violently informed that it’s game over. In addition to Hong and Bradley, the cast includes Game of Thrones‘ Liam Cunningham and Jonathan Pryce, as well as Benedict Wong (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), Eiza González (Ambulance), Jovan Adepo (Sorry for Your Loss), Ben Schnetzer (Y: The Last Man) and Rosalind Chao (Better Things). Benioff and Weiss serve as showrunners and executive producers, while Woo writes and executive-produces.
