Woman sexually assaulted in Winnipeg's Acadia Junior High Park

An emotional reunion for a Winnipeg family after two children were reported missing Sunday.

Nine-year-old Lucien Witt and seven-year-old Jocelyn Borynsky were reported missing from their home in the 200 block of Edgeland Boulevard in the Tuxedo area early Sunday morning.

News of their disappearance spread quickly on social media. The children's mother and Winnipeg police were searching for them all afternoon following numerous tips from the public.

The two step-siblings were found safe at a McDonalds restaurant in the area of Portage Avenue about 8 hours later Sunday night after someone recognized the children from media reports.

The children were taken home where they were greeted by a large group of family members and friends who were waiting outside.

Winnipeg police thanked the public for their assistance.
