Goldie Hawn says she had a 'powerful' encounter with aliens: 'I think I made contact with outer space'
Goldie Hawn appeared on a new episode of "Time to Walk" on Apple Fitness+.
Hawn said she encountered aliens after a dance rehearsal as a young woman in the 1960s.
She spoke with an astrophysicist who helped her explore the experience.
Goldie Hawn said she had a "powerful" encounter with aliens whose touch "felt like the finger of God."
Hawn, 77, opened up about the UFO sighting on the latest episode of the Apple Fitness+ series, "Time to Walk." Hawn said the alleged encounter occurred in the 1960s when she worked as a dancer. Hawn said she took a nap in a friend's car during a rehearsal but was later awoken by a "high-pitched sound" in her ear.
"I looked out the window, and I saw these two or three triangular-shaped heads," Hawn said. "They were silver in color, slash for a mouth, tiny little nose, no ears. They were pointing at me, pointing at me in the car as if they were discussing me like I was a subject. And they were droning."
Hawn said she felt "paralyzed" and questioned whether the moment was real before snapping out of it.
"Of course, I go back to all the kids and stuff, and I went, 'Oh, my God. I think I made contact with outer space,'" Hawn said, referring to her fellow dancers.
"The Christmas Chronicles" star said she wondered if she encountered extraterrestrial beings but learned through books that others experienced similar phenomena. Years later, Hawn said she visited the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she met an astrophysicist who allowed her to tour the Milky Way in the virtual reality lab.
"I got emotional, tear here and there, and I said, 'I don't understand it, but I did have an experience once that had to do with maybe being visited by someone,'" Hawn said.
Hawn added that she and the astrophysicist connected over aliens, which resulted in the astrophysicist interviewing Hawn about her UFO sighting.
"Suddenly, I remembered something. They touched my face. They touched my face, and it felt like the finger of God," Hawn said. "It was the most benevolent, loving feeling. This was powerful. It was filled with light."
Years after unlocking her memory, Hawn said she visited Avebury in London, where she learned more about crop circles. Per a 2022 article by The New York Times, crop circles refer to patterns carved into crop fields that some associate with aliens. While in London, Hawn had a dream in which she was overlooking a valley, and then six lights appeared above a nearby mountain.
"We got to the spot, and, by God, I was standing on this hill, looking down over a valley that was dark. That was exactly the spot in my dream, and a crop circle of just a heart," Hawn said. "I'm now freaking out."
Hawn said she doesn't know what it all means, but that's OK.
"I'll never know. And I kind of like it that way. I don't want to know everything," said Hawn. "We cut ourselves off from a lot of things if we're continuing to deny something that we have no proof over. There's a lot of things in this world that we can't see, but we can't stop believing."
Hawn isn't the only person in her family with an alleged "close encounter." Hawn's longtime partner Kurt Russell said he and his second eldest son, Oliver Hudson, saw aliens while flying a plane to Phoenix on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in November 2018. Similar to Hawn, Russell said he saw six lights.
Years after seeing the lights, Russell said Hawn was watching a TV show about UFOs that discussed the Phoenix Lights, which IndieWire reported was a mass UFO sighting in 1997 over several southwestern states. While watching the show, Russell realized he was the first of thousands to report that sighting to authorities.
"On the show, they talk about 20,000 people reporting it and only one general aviation pilot, and I said, 'That's me!'" he said.
