Happy’s Place Stages Second Reba Reunion — Plus, Find Out Who’s Playing Isabella’s Mom
You wanted another Reba reunion on Happy’s Place? Your wish is NBC’s command.
Christopher Rich, who played Reba McEntire’s ex-husband Brock on all six seasons of The WB’s Reba, is guest-starring in an upcoming episode of the country star’s new comedy, TVLine has confirmed. This will also reunite Rich with Happy’s Place series regular Melissa Peterman, who played Rich’s new wife Barbra Jean on Reba.

Rich’s character Maverick is a local tattoo artist who, following a debilitating stroke, only has complete use of one hand. He doesn’t let that damper his spirits, though, as he apparently “likes to tease new clients about which hand he’s going to use when he starts doing their tattoos.”
This marks the second time a series regular from Reba has visited Happy’s Place. Steve Howey, who portrayed McEntire’s son-in-law Van on Reba, appeared in the Christmas episode of Happy’s Place, playing a wealthy business owner named Danny.
Meanwhile, Justina Machado (One Day at a Time) is also guest-starring as Maritza, the mother of Belissa Escobedo’s Isabella. Maritza is a single mom who worked hard to put herself through law school — a real “survivor,” you might say. Maritza now runs a “wildly successful law practice and does not suffer fools.”
In addition to McEntire, Peterman and Escobedo, Happy’s Place also stars Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn. Series co-creator Kevin Abbott serves as showrunner, executive-producing alongside McEntire, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry and Pamela Feryman.
News of Rich and Machado’s casting was first reported by TVLine’s sister publication Variety. Are you excited to see these two visit Happy’s Place? Drop a comment with your thoughts below.
