Watch: Harry Clark reveals next move after The Traitors success
What did you miss?
The Traitors winner Harry Clark has revealed he has set his sights on more reality TV shows.
The 23-year-old found fame earlier this year when he triumphed on the second series of the BBC show. He has now shared that it gave him a taste for the genre and that he would like to do more reality, including a stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
He shared his dream during an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, when host Lorraine Kelly noted that, as he was an engineer in the British Army, he would probably be “brilliant in the jungle”.
What, how and why?
“Do you fancy that?” she asked Clark when he was on her show on Wednesday. “Oh yeah that would be at the top of my list,” he replied. “I would love to do it.”
We could even end up seeing Clark on something like Strictly or Celebrity Big Brother one day, as he told Kelly: “I mean, any reality shows.”
The TV star went on: “I just love to be able to resonate with people that are at home who are just normal working class families. Like what I was and still come from.”
“I’m still at home now with my mum and dad,” he explained.
The Traitors star couldn’t lie to his loved ones
The Traitors – which is hosted by Claudia Winkleman – relies on being able to lie and trick your fellow contestants, and many fans have hailed Clark as being one of the best at the game so far. But he told Kelly that he wasn’t as good as it in real life – and that he’d never lie to his girlfriend Anna Maynard.
Asked if he could fib to her, he insisted: “Of course not. No, no, of course not. That is just straight up. I couldn't lie to my missus, my mum, my dad, any of my family.”
“My whole life I've grown up with, obviously I've got five brothers and sisters, so there's a big family,” he said. “So I've always given white lies to my mum and dad, and to them, they can see straight through it. I could never, ever get a lie past my mum.”
Clark continued: “Whenever I tell just a simple lie, they're like, ‘Why are you lying for?’ And then when they've seen me on TV lying to say 21 other people, they're like, ‘How has no one clocked it yet?’”
What happened on The Traitors series 2?
The Traitors sees contestants split into Faithfuls and Traitors, with the Traitors tasked with staying under the radar and quietly 'murdering' the Faithfuls. If they are discovered, they face being banished themselves.
Clark was a Traitor in the show's second run, and made it all the way to the end, navigating all the twists and turns to win the prize fund of £95,150.
