Come October, the town of Goderich, Ont., will transform into a magical world for the second annual Harry Potter and the Transfigured Town festival.

The event, running from Oct. 13 to 15, will feature Quidditch tournaments, butterbeer, live music, a scavenger hunt through the downtown and a “House” challenge that will be familiar to fans of the J.K. Rowling series.

But Potterheads hoping to “apparate” (Potter speak for teleport) to the magical event will be disappointed.

Early bird and general tickets for the event, about three hours west of Toronto, are completely sold out, organizers confirmed on Facebook.

“We are very interested in making more room and enough fun for more people,” the group said on Facebook. “If we can find a way to include everyone we will, but we can’t make promises we can’t keep or turn it into the Transfigured line-up festival.”

Fans can, however, still sign up to volunteer at the event as actors, hosts, social media reps, security and registration among other positions. Volunteers receive free admission to the festival.

The festival will also include a plethora of local vendors and businesses, a Poly-Wizard tournament, and free face painting.

The first Transfigured Town festival was held in October 2016 as a one-day event. Only 5,972 tickets were available for this year’s event.

All proceeds from the festival will go towards the Huron Food Action Network and to improving the town’s downtown area.
