Highway 1 in West Vancouver reopened following serious collision

The Upper Levels Highway in West Vancouver between Cypress Bowl Road and 21st Street has been reopened after having been closed for most of the afternoon because of a serious collision, according to Drive B.C.

Drivers should expect delays due to traffic congestion.

Following the accident, a dark sedan lay on its side, spanning two lanes, with damage to its front and rear. Boots, papers, and a duffel bag were on the asphalt.

West Vancouver Police were on scene most of the afternoon investigating.

The accident happened Monday shortly after the noon hour.
