Highway 132 crash kills one, injures another in La Grange, Modesto Fire Department reports
One person died and another was injured in a crash late Friday in La Grange, the Modesto Fire Department reported.
It happened just before midnight on Highway 132 at La Grange Dam Road, according to the department’s daily call summary. The names of the people involved were not available as of Saturday afternoon.
The report provided these details:
An iPhone in the vehicle alerted a 911 dispatcher that the owner was in a crash, but responding crews could not locate it. The dispatcher called the phone and was directed to voice mail.
About 10 minutes later, someone called 911 to report the crash. Responders then found that a vehicle had rolled over, ejecting two occupants. One was deceased, and the other was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
The cause of the crash and the extent of the injuries were not reported.
