A 20-year-old Hillsborough man was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Fundy National Park on Thursday evening.

The RCMP say the crash happened before 11:15 p.m.

A passenger in one of the vehicles died and the driver, a 21-year-old man from Sackville, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"The collision is believed to have occurred when the car lost control and collided with the on-coming pick-up truck," the RCMP statement said.

The driver of the truck involved in the accident was not injured.

A collision reconstructionist has been to the scene and the police investigation is continuing into the cause of the crash.
