Hollyoaks newcomer Abe sparks suspicion with secretive phone call
Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Friday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Monday.
Hollyoaks has revealed that newcomer Abe Fielding is hiding secrets from his girlfriend Cleo McQueen after he was overheard making a suspicious phone call.
Abe recently arrived on the scene after following his on/off girlfriend Cleo back to the village, with their relationship becoming complicated by the revelation that Cleo's ex Joel is also Abe's half-brother.
Things became even more complicated for the pair after Abe spent the night with Cleo's cousin Theresa, with their one-night stand later being outed by Theresa's daughter Kathleen-Angel.
Tonight's (March 1) first-look episode saw Cleo devastated by the news and end her newly rekindled relationship once again.

Cleo's newfound resolution to stay away from Abe was short-lived as she later received a panicked call from her ex saying he was up on the hospital roof. She rushed up to find him sat alone.
Frustrated by his actions, Cleo demanded answers from Abe – which saw him reveal he'd been neglected by his dad as a child and that he felt unloved as a result. His words were enough to soften Cleo's anger and win her over, with the pair embracing each other.
"You've got me now, you don't have to feel like this anymore," Cleo told him.
Back at the McQueens', Cleo arrived home with Abe much to the family's shock. Mercedes was determined to give him a piece of her mind and demanded he leave, but Cleo stood her ground and told the family Abe got her "in a way that no one else can."

However, it was obvious that Abe was still keeping secrets from his girlfriend after he could be seen listening to a voice message from a mystery woman demanding to see him.
Abe told the woman to stop contacting him, but not before he referred to her as "babes" – unaware that Mercedes was listening to his words.
