Hollyoaks' Romeo and Peri to grow closer in Juliet death aftermath

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Romeo Nightingale and Peri Lomax will grow closer in the aftermath of Juliet's death in Hollyoaks.

The pair came together to support Juliet in her final weeks, and have now become one another's confidants as they grieve the loss of their loved one.

Their closeness has caused jealousy already from Romeo's girlfriend Rayne Royce, who has started to show her dark side by becoming possessive of both Romeo and her mate Lacey.

In upcoming scenes, Romeo's primary goal is to fulfil all of Juliet's wishes for her funeral but can't depend on mum Donna-Marie, as she admits she's too overcome with grief to focus on her daughter's memorial.

Romeo eventually accepts Rayne's offer to take the lead on the funeral planning, but he realises he can't handle the responsibility alone. Lacey becomes concerned when she notices her best mate Rayne basically taking over the funeral planning.

Lacey eventually tries to convince Rayne to tone everything down a bit so Romeo can properly grieve. Rayne soon is alarmed when Romeo rushes out to greet Peri on her return to the village.

The two return to find Rayne has taken full control of the funeral planning, though Peri eventually has to leave because looking through pictures of Juliet is too much to handle.

Romeo goes to chase after Peri, telling Rayne it's best if she stays behind so he can speak with Peri alone. Rayne's jealousy continues to grow as her boyfriend spends more and more time with Peri.

Lacey once again tries to be the voice of reason as she encourages Rayne to let Romeo spend as much time as he needs with Peri — and reminds Rayne that it's best if she just supports Romeo when he needs her.

Will jealous Rayne accept her friend's advice?
