Hollyoaks' scariest ever villain is returning to TV tonight

Former Hollyoaks star Jeff Rawle returns to TV on Friday evening (April 26) with a guest role in Beyond Paradise.

The actor, best known to soap fans for playing serial killer Silas Blissett, is central to the mystery in the BBC One detective show's latest episode.

Rawle takes on the part of Douglas Bevan, the curator of the Shipton Abbott Museum.

Douglas calls in the police after the museum is broken into and its prized possession is stolen.

He nervously reports that the mysterious robbery could lead to the closure of the museum, so the pressure is on for the situation to be quickly resolved.

DS Esther Williams takes sole responsibility in overseeing the case as DI Humphrey Goodman is busy preparing for his wedding to fiancée Martha Lloyd.

Esther hopes to ease Douglas' worries by cracking the case, but it won't be an easy one as the thief seems to have somehow evaded the CCTV and alarm systems.

With Humphrey otherwise occupied, can the baffling puzzle be solved?

Rawle played Hollyoaks' most terrifying villain Silas Blissett on and off between 2010 and 2022.

Silas' initial stint in 2010 and 2011 saw him claim the lives of four characters before finally being arrested for his sinister crimes.

The plot boosted ratings for the Channel 4 soap, so Silas was brought back several times in the years that followed.

In 2022, Silas returned for one last scare as he forced the McQueen family to play a game of human chess on an electrified chessboard.
