Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness announce split
Deadpool 3 star Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness have announced they are splitting.
The couple shared a joint statement with People on Friday (September 15) revealing they are ending their marriage of 27 years.
"We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth," they said.

"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
The Jackmans have said that Friday's comment was "the sole statement" either will make about their separation.
The pair met and fell in love when they were both working on the Australian TV series Correlli, subsequently tying the knot in 1996 at St. John's church in Melbourne.
Deborra-Lee is an actress with more than 30 years of experience. Her credits include being a cast member on Neighbours in the 1980s and she has more recently turned towards producing TV projects.

Hugh has often spoken about his marriage over the years, revealing that Deborra-Lee actually advised against him taking the role of Wolverine for the first X-Men movie.
"She read three pages and was like, 'You got claws coming out of your hands? This is ridiculous. Don't do it'," Hugh recalled in 2020.
Hugh marked the couple's 27th wedding anniversary on Instagram back in April, where he wrote about how they'd "created a beautiful family and life".
"Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage and loyalty is an incredible gift to me. I love you with all my heart," he wrote at the time.
Hugh and Deborra-Lee are parents to two grown children, 23-year-old Oscar and 18-year-old Ava.
