Idaho high school girls basketball rankings: Three teams make season debut in Top 5

Three new teams cracked the top 5 in their respective classifications for the first time this season in the latest Idaho girls basketball state media poll.

Sugar-Salem debuted at No. 4 in the 3A ranks after knocking off previously unbeaten Teton. Defending 2A state champion Melba checked in at No. 5, and Mackay received the No. 5 spot in 1A Division II.

Six teams from Southwest Idaho remain ranked in their classification’s top 5.
