Idris Elba Is Rendered Speechless After Little Girl Asks Why Her Mom's Friends Find Him 'So Sexy' (Exclusive)

"I'm humbled. And embarrassed," the 'Knuckles' actor says during PEOPLE's Kids Interview

Idris Elba doesn’t know what to say!

Fielding questions from kids in PEOPLE's exclusive Kids Interview series, Elba, 51, is at a loss for words by the first question: “Why do all my mom’s friends think you’re so sexy? Why are you so sexy?” asks a young girl named Addison.

An amused Elba answers, “Wow. Please tell your mom’s friends it’s a compliment. Thank you so much. I’m humbled. And embarrassed. Next question, quick!”

The 2018 PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive and Knuckles star remarks to a room of laughter, mimicking Addison, “You should see her face, like, ‘Why are you so sexy? What's this about?'”

Throughout the Kids Interview segment, Elba reveals his favorite song (Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved?”), his favorite movie to make (2013’s Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) and stories from his childhood. When he was a kid, his favorite pastime was playing soccer with his neighborhood friends.

“There used to be sunny days, especially during the summer holidays. We used to play football all day long,” The Wire star recalls.

Elba also divulged that while accepting his OBE badge from the late Queen Elizabeth II, he “nearly fell into the Queen.”

“No one noticed, but she did, because she could see. Then [she] put the pin on, and I got out of there. Imagine if I had fallen into the queen,” he says.

Asked about his childhood role model, the Luther actor named his paternal grandfather Moses, who died before he was born. “I just heard the most incredible stories about him,” he says. “In fact, I’ve got his name tattooed on my arm.”
