I'm A Celebrity finalist Owen Warner became meme-worthy gold on the series finale after discovering he had been lied to by Chris Moyles throughout his entire stay.

The Hollyoaks actor became an unwitting part of a running joke with radio DJ Moyles, who made the most of his naivety to who he is by making up a string of fake accomplishments to impress him.

After finally being released from the jungle, 23-year-old Warner was gobsmacked when hosts Ant and Dec shared a video revealing the truth.

Among Moyles' long-running lies was he was a professional dancer, and a Commonwealth running champion.

As he watched back, Warner's face dropped as he realised he'd been scammed by the camp.

"So he wasn't a world champion dancer?!" a baffled Warner told Ant and Dec, before turning to Scott and asking, "Did you know that?"

When she admitted she did, Warner laughed it off and asked: "Why didn't you tell me, I thought you had my back!"

"I wondered why he wasn't dancing," he added. "I thought he'd did his knee or something"

Fans cracked up at the moment, and took to Twitter to share their thoughts about Warner being duped.

"Owen being genuinely shocked about Chris lying to him about him being a dancer. Ugh i love him so much," wrote one viewer.

"Owen finding out Chris moyles weren’t a dance legend is TV gold. He was actually shocked," laughed a second.

While a third joked: "I can’t believe Owen really fell for Chris’ outrageous lies."

Speaking about his time in camp, Warner credited it for helping him mature, and he said: "I think when you're at your lowest, when you were at a really low point in life, you really learn what you're made of. And in there I was really struggling.

"There's a lot of big characters, and I'm only 23. I felt like I'm very much at the beginning of my journey, and people have had a crazy, crazy journey and done so much stuff and I was comparing myself.

"But I just thought 'I can't compare myself. I've got to live my own journey'. Realising that it's really just helped me to mature to be comfortable in myself."

Warner eventually placed second on this year's series, after a record 12 million votes were cast to pick out who the winner is.

Jill Scott was eventually crowned jungle champion, and joked she had to "thank her nan for making all the calls".
